But let's presume I was trying to sell you a book. This does not make me manipulative. It makes me a person with a mortgage. I don't try to *trick* people into buying my books. The main challenge of selling books to blog readers, I think, is that you are in essence telling them to stop reading something for free in favor of something that costs money. I left mine after 23 years of being too sheltered and never meeting anyone. My rep was also becoming less involved in the business in general. So I am re-inventing my career. I am exhausted from the self imposed re-education but have made a ton of contacts that are now organized. My structure is built. I can write paint and market. I just need a wee break.
