I'm so excited to see Subway Story get a star! Julia Sarcone-Roach and I were neighbors growing up and went to high school together. It's great to see her work getting so much love!

I'm really looking forward to Balloons Over Broadway, but can I gripe for a bit? I wish that publishers would remember that it takes libraries a bit of time to process and distribute books to branches before the books can be available for patrons. A Thanksgiving-ish book with a November 1 release date doesn't allow for much time for processing and display before the patrons are more in the mood for winter holiday books (we display new books for about three months before returning them to the general collection). I'm betting that this will still have quite a bit of interest after Thanksgiving, (from everything I've read, it sounds like a terrific book), but it's always greatly appreciated when holiday themed books are released in the month prior to the holiday! I do know that sometimes these things can't be helped. I do know that this book started to receive (excellent) reviews in August from review publications, so unless I'm missing something, I don't understand why this isn't being released earlier. Okay, gripe over.
