What a wonderful piece. I met Ms. Yolen at a writer’s retreat in Boerne, Texas. She was wonderful. Hope I get to see her again someday.

Just reread Owl Moon and know that Jane Yolen is a treasure among poets, and writers of children’s literature!….I used it a few weeks ago, and the response from young teachers was amazing!

Lovely interview. Not nearly long enough. I would have liked about 10 more questions. I loved her answer to number 4–an owl in flight, a hawk in stoop…. She is indeed a poet, as well as a beloved writer.
