Have you voted?

your vote countsVoting in the second annual Calling Caldecott Mock Caldecott began earlier today!

First up is a ballot of the twenty-four-title longlist. Vote for your first, second, and third choices — just like the real Caldecott committee. This ballot will be open until 9 am on Tuesday, January 21st, and results will be posted at noon.

Voting will continue with a second shortlist ballot beginning Wednesday the 22nd, with final results to be posted on Thursday the 23rd. Lolly explains the tallying procedure (based on the real committee’s very complex system) here.

Make sure to stick around after the results are posted — the Calling Caldecott crew will do a postmortem of the mock Caldecott, then weigh in on the actual winners after the ALA Awards announcement on the Monday the 27th.
