roger right2 From the Editor – March 2014Make sure you take a virtual wander down the hall to the Horn Book’s newest blog, Lolly’s Classroom. Created and run by Lolly Robinson, the Horn Book production manager and designer and a lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Lolly’s Classroom is a place for teachers to meet and discuss strategies and lesson plans for the use of good children’s books in schools. The brass-tacks discussions of individual titles (a teacher on This Is Not My Hat: “One little girl was very, very concerned about the little fish. She asked me during bus duty if the big fish really ate him. I said that the book doesn’t specifically say that, and she decided that he dropped the hat in the reeds and escaped”) provide practical advice about books to use and what to do with them. Please join in!
