National Hispanic Heritage Month 2017

National Hispanic Heritage Month, a time for “paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society,” draws to a close this week.

For more information and a calendar of events, visit the National Hispanic Heritage Month website. Here are some interviews, recommended books, and articles from the Horn Book archives to help you celebrate “the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.” (And don’t miss AnnMarie Hurtado’s article “Lucha Libros: A Bilingual Battle of the Books” coming up in the November/December 2017 Magazine!)
