Betsy Halbrooks, R.I.P
Betsy Halbrooks was the mainstay of our office for many years, and I'm sorry I never had the chance to meet her. This obit gives a good idea of what she was like, and her own reminiscence of her Horn Book career was published in our 75th anniversary issue.

Hey Anon, what was she like?
This is not the same anon but I can say that she was someone whose face when encountered gave one a small jolt of happiness. There was a quiet intelligence always at work. I agree that she will be sorely missed and my condolences to the family should they read this.
