July/August '07 Horn Book

The July-August issue of the Horn Book Magazine is out; selected snippets can be found on our website but, c'mon, subscribe already.

Also new: assistant editor cum tea-dumping subversive Claire Gross gets all in the (British) government's face with a reading list of books about the events of 1776.

Selected snippets? Literary tapas, more like it....

Now, HOW can I not desire the whole on a long, long summer evening?

I am getting more and more DEPRESSED about the subject of the founding of our nation the more I read adult books about it, although Geo. Washington is a lot more interesting to me now than I used to think he was....and A. Hamilton as well...those are positives...I guess.
