I've been the editor in chief of The Horn Book, Inc, since 1996; previously editor of The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books and a children's and young adult librarian. Received my M.A. in library science from the University of Chicago in 1982 and a B.A. from Pitzer College in 1978.

The memorial service at Mr. Todd's church was great. Several Horn Bookers were there, as well as formers Anita Silvey, Karen Walsh and Blanche Egersheim, who was Mr. Todd's assistant for years and, amazingly, has worked with every single HB editor. Kitty is going to try to lure her into a podcast . . .
I interned at the Horn Book Guide when I was just out of college and I have a fond memory of meeting Mr. Todd. My sympathies to his family and to the Horn Book.
