WTF, ALA?

readstrictedThe new Banned Books Week poster has too many design elements to keep straight, uses a dumb and hard to parse neologism as its main message, and dog-whistles anti-Islamic sentiment with an image of what looks like a woman in a niqab. You had ONE JOB….

    Good word, neologism. And yes, this poster is…a problem. As if we need more institutions (especially one as vital to our field as ALA) sending this kind of message. *sigh*

  3. Looks like I will be using last years BBW poster. I am all for challenging boundaries. This is a bit too much.
