Kindergarten party at the library!

Kparty

Librarian Emily reads “Shh! We Have a Plan” by Chris Haughton. Audience participation encouraged.

Earlier this week, the Cambridge Public Library hosted a party for all city kindergartners. The occasion? Signing up for library cards! As our friendly neighborhood librarian and manager of youth services, Julie Roach, told us: once you turn five, you can get your *very own library card* (which looks just like the grownups’) and check out as many things as you want. Score!

Unlimited free books to borrow, some read-aloud stories, an ABC craft project, and pizza — what could be better in kindergarten-land? Thanks Julie, Emily, Jennifer, and everyone at the Cambridge Public Library!
