2016 BGHB Nonfiction Day

BGHB16_NF_all_tweetIt’s BGHB Week! Today we’re honoring our 2016 Boston Globe-Horn Book Nonfiction Award winners. Read reviews of all of the 2016 nonfiction winners here; see below for more web extras to celebrate them. Join us on September 30-October 1, 2016, for the Boston Globe-Horn Book Awards ceremony and the Horn Book at Simmons Colloquium: Out of the Box, featuring several 2016 Boston Globe–Horn Book Award recipients.

The 2016 Boston Globe–Horn Book Nonfiction Award winner is Most Dangerous: Daniel Ellsberg and the Secret 
History of the Vietnam War by Steve Sheinkin (Roaring Brook).

Symphony for the City of the Dead: Dmitri Shostakovich and the Siege of Leningrad by M. T. Anderson (Candlewick) received a BGHB Nonfiction Honor.

Voice of Freedom: Fannie Lou Hamer, Spirit of the Civil Rights Movement written by Carole Boston Weatherford and illustrated by Ekua Holmes (Candlewick) received a BGHB Nonfiction Honor.
