Jewish American Heritage Month 2021

May is Jewish American Heritage Month, a time for "paying tribute to the generations of Jewish Americans who helped form the fabric of American history, culture and society." Books for children and teens "that authentically portray the Jewish experience" can be found at the Association of Jewish Libraries' Sydney Taylor Book Awards. Fans of Sydney Taylor herself -- author of the beloved All-of-a-Kind Family series -- can look forward to the new, much-anticipated adult biography From Sarah to Sydney: The Woman Behind All-of-a-Kind Family by the late June Cummins (reviewed in the July/August 2021 Horn Book Magazine).
