The 2021 Boston Globe–Horn Book Nonfiction Award winner is From a Whisper to a Rallying Cry: The Killing of Vincent Chin and the Trial That Galvanized the Asian American Movement by Paula Yoo (Norton Young Readers).



All Thirteen: The Incredible Cave Rescue of the Thai Boys' Soccer Team by Christina Soontornvat (Candlewick Press) received a BGHB Nonfiction Honor.


Unspeakable: The Tulsa Race Massacre written by Carole Boston Weatherford; illustrated by Floyd Cooper (Carolrhoda Books/Lerner) received a BGHB Nonfiction Honor.
