From the Editor - March 2024

With NCAA March Madness beginning this week (go Tar Heels!), we thought we’d have our own fun with Horn Book Cover Madness. We’re currently in the finals of January/February covers — Mavor v. Smith — and there’s still time to vote for your favorite; if ever there were a “no wrong answers” situation! Join us (virtually) on March 27 for “Cover to Cover: Reimagining Familiar Stories with Different Faces,” hosted by the Carle; and on March 31, Roger Sutton moderates an in-person discussion with Caren Stelson and Selina Alko about Stars of the Night: The Courageous Children of the Czech Kindertransport. And in case you missed it: last week, we were featured in the Living/Arts section of the Boston Globe and as the Alumnae/i Feature by Simmons University, from which many Horn Bookers, beginning with Bertha, received an education.

From the March 2024 issue of Notes from the Horn Book.
