It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Notes!

July’s Notes from the Horn Book newsletter is currently winging its way to subscribers’ inboxes. In this issue, Kitty Flynn chats with author/illustrator Maria van Lieshout about her new picture book Flight 1-2-3, her favorite airports, and (eek!) international travel with a toddler. You’ll also find

• more concept and toy books
• easy readers with soon-to-be-beloved characters
• middle-school nonfiction on American heroes and history
• YA murder mysteries

Read the issue online here, or subscribe to receive our monthly Notes from the Horn Book newsletter and its supplement Nonfiction Notes. For more recommended books and author/illustrator interviews, browse the newsletter archives.
