You want more? We got more.

"Former Monkees' drummer Micky Dolenz has penned an accessible but lackluster original myth about a primate that is mocked by the others because he walks on four legs while they walk on two."

Wow. And we always complain that celebrities write generic picture books than any parent could have written. Here Dolenz has written about his specialty--monkeys. Imagine the picture books we could have if this trend continued. There could be Stevie Nicks's book about a little tambourine that just wants to be shaken when all the other percussion instruments tell her she has to be hit with a stick, or Led Zeppelin's book about a little boy who saves up his allowance to buy a stairway...to heaven.

Or Ringo's book about a little star in heaven who's not as talented as his three twinkly friends.

Or, to bring us a little more up to date, Eminem's book about candy that hates being sweet.

It should be the other way around, shouldn't it, Roger? I thought the other primates made fun of their more evolved bipedal neighbor. Sort of a Clan of the Cave Bear for the picture book set.

oh, the YA possibilities are intriguing too. Being Dumped - Angsty boy finally learns why Mrs. Brown's daughter dumped him, by Herman's Hermits. Beside Me to Guide Me - With the guidance of friends, shy teen girl breaks out of her cocoon with last chance, last dance at prom, by Donna Summer. And the sci-fi fantasy, Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog . . . .
Mickey's on to something here. He always was my favorite monkee.
