I've been the editor in chief of The Horn Book, Inc, since 1996; previously editor of The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books and a children's and young adult librarian. Received my M.A. in library science from the University of Chicago in 1982 and a B.A. from Pitzer College in 1978.

What a setting! I'm not sure I will be able to settle for in front of the evergreens or at the bottom of the stairs ever again.
Love the red dress.
Next time I'm gonna wear a red dress. Should there ever be a next time -- as if lightning ever struck twice.
Oh well, I had a great time the first time around -- wearing for the first time ever, a little black dress.
But next time, I'm gonna wear red.
