This isn’t the main point, I suppose, but ah what sweet relief that Carol (Carol?) doesn’t look or feel computer generated. No green screen background, even!

You warned us...but it made me teary too - and made me want to see more of the film.

Thanks for the link to the clip.

I assumed Roger was being sarcastic, since I find this clip rather dreadful. What could they be thinking? Roger?

Stick with the book!

Who let this happen? Oh, Surely Hapercollins didn't need the money this bad! Tell me it ain't so Mr. Murdoch!

Sendak is neck-deep in this project, so you can let the dark lords off the hook in this case.

I liked it. I thought it was strange and mysterious and freakishly summery, and the last pose of Max leaning against the WT looked just like Sendak's draftsmanship.

I thought it looked like HR Puffinstuff. I'm glad at least Sendak is involved. LOL!$$$$

I couldn't tell . . . was Max pretending to be a robot, or was he doing that dreadful dance "The Robot"?

I enjoyed the clip, though, and so did my kids. Although I've yet to see a picture-book-to-film adaptation that really works, I'm looking forward to the release of this one.
