Join Moxie and the Art of Rule Breaking author Erin Dionne and other Lofters in an informal chat about revision on Thursday, October 17th, from 7:30-9:00pm. Do you dread revising? Don’t know where to start, or how to wrangle that beast of a manuscript into sparkly prose and jaw dropping plot twists? Or are you just looking for some fresh ideas and new strategies to bring your writing to the next level?
Regardless of where you are, “Craft Chat: Kill Your Darlings & Revise Your Project” can help! Erin Dionne will walk us through a range of revision techniques, offering skills and ideas that you can apply to your novel, short story, or picture book.
Also the author of Models Don’t Eat Chocolate Cookies, The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet, and Notes from an Accidental Band Geek, Erin lives outside of Boston, where she writes, reads, teaches, and juggles family life. She’s wanted to be a writer ever since she was six years old, and is happy to report that it’s just as awesome a job as she thought it would be. Some days, she even wears her pajamas while working!
Her books have been featured in Scholastic book fairs, on state lists, and in major magazines. Her books have gotten her on the radio, TV, and have been featured in newspapers — which is not as exciting as you might think, but was still pretty cool.
