Readers, meet Triangle

Reposting a previous Review of the Week from our website today…

A new Mac Barnett/Jon Klassen collaboration is always of interest for picture book connoisseurs. This one? Well, you can tell from the wordless cover that it’s somewhat of a departure from their previous books — and you probably can’t tell, but the binding is different, too: thick cardboard covers, no paper jacket. And yet those EYES portend that between those covers readers will find a story that is very much in the Klassen/Barnett universe.

Triangle came out in March; be sure to chase it down before serious Caldecott discussion begins here this fall.

  1. Martha, tip from Travis Jonker: Turn the book upside down. Check out the wolf on the cover! (Or what looks like one anyway) … I love it.

  2. Martha V. Parravano Martha V. Parravano says:

Oooh, that is cool — thanks Jules (and Travis). Although I’m not sure what the significance of the wolf is — please keep cluing me in!
