Mother's Day 2020

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 10th! If you look forward to the annual Make Way for Ducklings Parade in the Boston Public Garden, there are virtual events this year (you can read more by and about the Ducklings' papa, Robert McCloskey, here.)

We've reviewed several books about moms and mother figures recently in the Magazine (see In My Anaana's Amautik, Home Base: A Mother-Daughter Story and My Mama, all rev. 5/20; Just like a Mama, Mama Baby, and Mother Jones and Her Army of Mill Children, all rev. 3/20) and the Guide/Reviews Database has just posted a new "Picture Books for Mother's Day" list of recommended books.

Here are a few more recommended books, articles, and blog posts featuring moms, mother figures, and Mother’s Day; find plenty more about mothers (and dads, and grandparents, and other loving caregivers) over at Family Reading.

Happy Mother's Day!
