2020 has been a beary unexpected year...

...full of bears in children's books!

Yesterday on Calling Caldecott, Dean Schneider discussed The Bear and the Moon, one of many new picture books starring bears that I've spotted in the Magazine this past year. They include:

         
         
         
         
         
    

This made me curious: Are bears trending like "The Birds and the Bees"? Or would you argue they're just a perennial favorite subject? And if so, why do you think that is?
