I'll be in Dallas for ALA tomorrow through Monday, serving on the Batchelder Award committee and schmoozing with our advertisers, who, it is interesting, are among the supporters of the deservedly maligned SOPA Act proposal that prompted Wikipedia and others to protest. I'll have to remember to ask if that Dead End in Norvelt cover I plucked from cyberspace to put here yesterday is going to get us in trouble. More chills!

He was previously editor of The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books and a children's and young adult librarian. He received his MA in library science from the University of Chicago in 1982 and a BA from Pitzer College in 1978.
