A verdant holiday smorgasbord

Today is Purim AND St. Patrick's Day. 

And I had green jam.

You think opportunities like that grow on trees?

    

Kiwi hamentaschen are pretty tasty, it turns out. (Three-cornered) hat tip to my jam-creating friend Michie, and to the Guide/Reviews Database for its subject search Holidays--Purim and 3 curated St. Patty's Day booklists for primary, intermediate, and older readers, which explore both holidays a bit more in-depth.

Green will also be one of many colors prominent in tomorrow's celebration of Holi, "the Festival of Colors" AND green plants are beginning to emerge here in Massachusetts, heralding spring's arrival (finally!) on Sunday.
