Curious to know why the Sydney Taylor Awards are not listed in the same grouping as Coretta Scott King Awards ? On all levels (wide acknowledgement, literary taste, impact on libraries and librarians) these are prestgious awards. Pnina Moed Kass

The Sydney Taylor Awards are prestigious, indeed. We announce the winners in the print Magazine and list them on our website (currently our archived site: archive.hbook.com/resources/awards/national.asp--hoping to move the page over here soon so we can update it). The awards listed here are just ALA's Youth Media Awards (http://www.ala.org/template.cfm?template=/CFApps/awards_info/browse.cfm&FilePublishTitle=Awards,%20Grants%20and%20Scholarships&stype=Y), not all national awards. I hope that helps.
