It's time for our second round of nominations! Select three more titles!
December already? It’s beginning to look a lot like...time for Calling Caldecott’s second round of nominations! (Also, January and the YMA announcements are edging ever closer.)
Last month we asked readers for four titles that they’d nominate if they were members of The Committee. Twenty-three books were nominated; Cat Nap took the lead, but Fireworks and Our Lake were close behind. The real committee does three rounds of nominations; here at Calling Caldecott we only do two, and this time we’re asking you to nominate three titles.
Our own mock vote will take place in mid-January — a book must be nominated to be considered for the mock vote (as it is with the real committee, if a book isn’t nominated, it cannot be considered for the Caldecott Award). Look back at the November nomination results — are you the champion of a book that wasn’t nominated? Now is the time to make your voice heard! If you nominated books last time, feel free to nominate three more titles!
Nominations of three titles are due by Tuesday, December 16, and results will be announced Thursday, December 18.
