CPL first annual Margret and H. A. Rey Curious George Lecture Series

cg_lecture-04katedicamilloFormer Horn Booker Zoe Del Mar, communications manager for the Cambridge, MA, Public Library, just let us know about a great new lecture series the library is hosting: the Margret and H. A. Rey Curious George Lecture Series. The series was "developed from a brainstorming session between Youth Services Manager, Julie Roach [read Julie's Horn Book Magazine article "What Makes a Good Storytime?"] and the Curious George Fund." The inaugural talk is March 9, 2017, and the speaker is none other than Newbery Medal winner Kate DiCamillo. Read the press release here and visit the website.

You can also read the library's statement on the incoming presidential administration and reaffirmation of the library's core values and mission: "Where do we go from here?: Our path forward as a vital library resource for all."
