Fans of R. J. Palacio's 2012 book
Wonder are probably familiar with the author's
#ChooseKind pledge and her 2014 book
365 Days of Wonder: Mr. Browne's Book of Precepts. Now they can receive happiness-themed quotations each day with the
Daily Wonder app (Random House, 2015; iOS only).
The app is no-frills: tap "Daily Wonder" in the pull-out menu to see that day's quote. The information button at the bottom left gives brief details about the quote's author; the Wonder icon in the middle provides a #ChooseKind weekly tip ("A small sign of appreciation can go a long way! Tell someone in your life how much you appreciate them and why."); the icon on the right allows you to email, text, share via social media, save, etc., a screenshot.
There's a calendar feature that lets you read quotes from the last week.

More useful information about #ChooseKind for teachers and communities, along with links to the
Children's Craniofacial Association and
PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center, are also included.
The cast for the Wonder movie is coming together. Leading up to the film's 2017 release, you can get your Daily Wonder and choose to #ChooseKind — and who doesn't need a little of those nowadays?
Available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (requires iOS 7.0 or later); free. Recommended for intermediate users and up.

Hi Frances, It might be worth contacting Random House to suggest that! :)Posted : Jan 18, 2017 04:37

I wonder if Random House is planning to make the app for android devices. The rest of the world (those without iphones or ipads) would like to have access, too!Posted : Jan 18, 2017 05:03
