Earth Day 2022: Invest in Our Planet

Today, April 22, is Earth Day, with this year's theme being "Invest in Our Planet." See the following book recommendations, articles, and links for recent children's books related to the appreciation and preservation of our planet:

And look for the forthcoming starred review of I Begin with Spring: The Life and Seasons of Henry David Thoreau (Tilbury) by Julie Dunlap, illustrated by Megan Elizabeth Baratta, in the May/June 2022 Horn Book Magazine Special Issue: The Newbery Centennial. As our reviewer noted, author Dunlap "discusses the importance of her subject’s work in a modern-day study of climate change, encouraging readers to become citizen scientists and record what they see, too." We all must "Invest in Our Planet" because "a green future is a prosperous future." What will you do to help? How will you be honoring the occasion? Share your plans with us in the comments below!
