From the Editor - March 2020

I hope you are all enjoying the March/April issue of the Magazine; here in the office we are busily pulling together the May/June special issue, whose theme is "Breaking the Rules." Jarrett J. Krosoczka is creating the cover; inside the issue fourteen authors and illustrators share stories (and comix) about one time they were each Rule Breakers and I don’t think I’m giving anything away by telling you that the consensus seems to be: Worth It. Still, I hope they all and you all are following the rules we are all trying to get used to: do wash your hands and don’t touch you face (he wrote blithely, stroking his chin all the while).

Editor Emeritus Roger Sutton was editor in chief of The Horn Book, Inc., from 1996-2021. He was previously editor of The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books and a children's and young adult librarian. He received his MA in library science from the University of Chicago in 1982 and a BA from Pitzer College in 1978.
