Great interview Sean! Or maybe a bit more of a wonderfully relaxed conversation. If I may, I disagree that you grow out of fandom. As someone who has already lived the majority of his life, I still get thrilled (deeply and wildly excited) when I read a good book. To that point, I don't believe you ever recapture the feeling of your first read of a book, and in that same context rereading a book is like visiting an old friend. That is, someone you know and understand and yet care about enough about to strive to develop a deeper and more meaningful "relationship" with or to rekindle those old feelings. That is what makes books great, what keeps me reading and what keeps my insides churning in fandom.

Thanks for listening! I totally agree and I think that's the beautiful thing about fandoms--while there are many many teens and children who take part in fandoms, they give adults a space to completely lose their minds over something they love.
