A senior lecturer in children’s literature at Simmons College, Megan Dowd Lambert writes and reviews for

Horn Book. For nearly ten years she worked in the Education Department of The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, and in 2015 she published her debut picturebook,
A Crow of His Own, illustrated by David Hyde Costello. Her book,
Reading Picturebooks with Children: How to Shake Up Storytime and Get Kids Talking about What They See, which introduces her Whole Book Approach storytime method, will be published by Charlesbridge Publishing on November 3, 2015. Megan lives with her family, including six children, in Amherst, MA.
