You know who else loved their mothers? Abraham Lincoln ("All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother") and John Quincy Adams ("All that I am, my mother made me"), among others, whose pithy remarks are scattered throughout My Mother, My Heart: A Joyful Book to Color by Eleri Fowler (HarperCollins, March 2016). If the recent adult-coloring-book craze is your thing, grab a drawing implement and spend Mother's Day filling in the "pretty patterns, gorgeous florals," birds, butterflies, owls, cupcakes, stars, and other decorative items that fill the book's pages, or pass it along to a mother.
