National Hispanic Heritage Latinx Heritage Month 2020

National Hispanic Heritage Latinx Heritage Month is a time for "paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society." It runs from September 15-October 15.
For more information and a calendar of events, visit the National Hispanic Heritage Month website. And mark your calendars for the first ever Latinx KidLit Book Festival (held virtually) on December 4-5.

We are hard at work, collaborating with REFORMA, planning the May/June 2021 Horn Book Magazine special issue commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Pura Belpré Awards. Here are some interviews, recommended books, and articles from the Horn Book archives to help you celebrate "the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America."
