Our busy weekend

HBAS panel

Friday night we all got dressed up and went to the Boston Globe-Horn Book Awards, then out to a posh dinner -- very late -- and back to work the next morning for the Horn Book at Simmons Colloquium. (More on both of these events soon from Roger and others. More photos, too.)

Robin did a terrific job on a panel in the afternoon talking about nonfiction picture books with the creators of Can We Save the Tiger and Dark Emperor and Other Poems of the Night. The panel was deftly moderated by Horn Book reviewer Betty Carter.
