My comment gets off the beacon track a bit, but I thought I would still post it here in the interest of great new releases. Maira Kalman's beautiful gauche illustrations for THOMAS JEFFERSON are a keeper. This is really a perfectly engaging biography of Jefferson for the younger (and older!) and the eye candy makes a seductive play for a purchase. Jefferson on Washington's birthday? Heck, why not, especially since old George with his falsies appear in full splendor about half way through.Posted : Feb 15, 2014 05:42
