Virtual Boston Book Festival 2020

The Boston Book Festival and the Horn Book go way back. Since the festival began in 2009, the Horn Book has looked forward to our very favorite panel-going, booth-sitting, fresh-autumn-air-breathing, grilled-cheese-eating, Dunkin-drinking day. This year the BBF is going virtual, and the kids' and YA lineups are exceptional. Zetta Elliott; Jerry Craft in conversation with Dr. Kim Parker; Innosanto Nagara and Tanya Nixon-Silberg; Francie Latour; Jason Chin; John Rocco and Cathie Mercier; just to name a few. It's free as always. Sign up for their Kids and Families Newsletter here. The annual MICE Expo (that's Massachusetts Independent Comics) is also happening online this month; read Summer Clark's Family Reading post from 2017 about this always entertaining local event. 

And pair everything with our very own virtual Boston Globe-Horn Book Awards 2020 coverage, featuring new and dynamic content we'll be sharing throughout October. It's a great month for children's books in Boston!
