We've reached the culmination of Picture Book week in our month-long virtual Boston Globe–Horn Book Awards celebration.

 

Today, chair Luann Toth introduces the 2021 BGHB Picture Book Winner I Talk like a River:

 

The 2021 Boston Globe–Horn Book Award for Picture Book is presented to author Jordan Scott and illustrator Sydney Smith for I Talk like a River published by Neal Porter Books, an imprint of Holiday House.

Here are Jordan and Sydney receiving their silver bowls and being interviewed via video by Horn Book editor in chief Roger Sutton:
