Book caravan clippings

Horn Book Magazine founder Bertha Mahony's bookmobile—dubbed the Book Caravan—travelled around New England selling books in the summers of 1920 and 1921. For more about the Book Caravan, read Barbara Bader's Horn Book Magazine article, "Treasure Island by the Roadside." We also offer a slideshow of photos of the Caravan and transcriptions of selected pages from the caravan diary.

Apparently, all the major newsreel companies ran features on the book caravan in either 1920 or 1921. If anyone has a lead on finding any of those videos, please write a comment so we can contact you.

Below are full-size images of a few Book Caravan clippings.
